MacRumors – the Apple Tablet

What is the ultimate role of the Apple Tablet? – from MacRumors
The much-rumored Apple Tablet computer seems to ben getting even closer… and I’m possibly one of the few people totally excited by it! That is, if it turns out to be what I hope it is…
I want something I can make notes on. It’s [...]

Three of my favourite things

The Louvre invites Umberto Eco: “Mille e tre” | Louvre Museum: “”
1 – Umberto Eco, Italian novelist and semiotician
2 – Paris, in particular the Louvre
3 – Lists.
So when I hear Eco is curating an exhibition at the Louvre about lists, I wanna hop on the first plane

In Defense of the E-Reader

I’m a luddite. Really. It takes me a while to really get into new technology; I have to be completely convinced before I’ll set foot in unknown territory.
The idea of e-reading fascinates me though. I love Project Gutenberg, and downloading books from there that are out of copyright, and reading them on my laptop. [...]

Make: Online : Twins from “The Shining” projection

I love this SO SO SO SO much.
Since I had my first set of twins, I’ve been fascinated by all things twinny.

Every year, I get a kick out of picking which celebrities are likely to keel over… It’s a sick thing. I don’t wish people to die. But if they do, I like to think that I will get points and therefore will beat my brother.
So, here are my picks for 2009.
1 – Steve Jobs
Apple [...]

Life is good

My daughter and my son have had dinner, and clean diapers, and are swaddled tightly and sleeping side by side in their crib.
My room smells of newborn baby.
My copy of Americana has reappeared.
Perfection.

May-jah brainstorm

So, I’ve been having discussion with people about the name I’ve chosen for my unborn daughter, and how it’s a name from a poem. A poem that is symbolic of the struggle of French Canadians against Zee Dastardly Eeengleesh.
Now, there are millions of baby-naming websites.
There are lots of sites about the meanings of names.
