Ted Kennedy has passed away. A hero to many in American politics, his passing will not be mourned by too many in the UK. As a supporter of the Irish Republican movement and by extension the IRA – who terrorised the UK and Ireland for decades – he publicly raised money for and the profile [...] The recent release from prison of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, the only man convicted of the bombing of the Pan Am flight that killed 270 people has caused uproar, with many Americans vowing never to visit Scotland ever ever again. [Cue Scotland's sigh of relief...] So, politics is something I end up talking a lot about, but being asked to define my own politics is a tricky thing.
